“We are making every effort to boost a number of electoral criteria including participation, health, security and rivalry,” Hadi Tahan-Nazif told reporters during his regular press briefing on Saturday.
He further called on all executive, supervisory, and regulatory bodies involved in organizing elections to move towards enhancement of synergy and convergence, and help actualize Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei’s guidelines in support of a healthy election.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Tahan said the vetting body has no partisan interests and welcomes the participation of candidates from different political backgrounds in elections.
"The Constitutional Council bases all its decisions on law and has no partisan interests,” he stressed.
