Spokesman pays tribute to Iran’s legendary anti-terror commander Gen. Soleimani
The spokesman of the Constitutional Council posted a message on his official Twitter account on Monday, paying tribute to Iran’s legendary anti-terror commander Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani.

“According to the Constitution’s preamble, one of the missions of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to create conditions conducive to the development of man in accordance with the noble and universal values of Islam. Those who will provide the basis for the victory of all the oppressed over the arrogant. Haj Qasem Soleimani was the prime example of such a man,” Hadi Tahan-Nazif said in his tweet marking the second anniversary of the US assassination of the top general.
General Soleimani was assassinated along with his Iraqi trenchmate Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Units, in a US drone strike ordered by ex-president Donald Trump near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.
Both commanders were highly popular because of the key role they played in eliminating the Daesh terrorist group in the region, particularly in Iraq and Syria.
